Build An Ant Empire Ant Rarities: Read Beyond the Label
Use ant rarities as a progression signal without ignoring price, worker space, output, speed, and live game stats.
Quick Answer
Best Moves
- Rarity gives you a progression ladder from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exotic, Secret, Divine, OP, to Celestial.
- Higher rarity should be checked against its roll price and your current income speed.
- Treat the live Ant Queen UI as the final word for roll odds and prices.
What rarity can and cannot tell you
Rarity is a fast signal for progression, but it is not the same as a full stat sheet. A higher rarity ant is usually a stronger long-term target, yet the right purchase still depends on cost, available space, current level, mutation state, and how quickly your colony earns back the spend.
Use rarity to organize your goals, then use the live UI to confirm whether the ant actually solves your current problem.
How to read the ladder
The tracked ladder runs from Common through Celestial. Treat the price jump between tiers as part of the decision. If a roll tier costs many cycles of income, you may be better served by Egg Luck, Egg Rolls, Food value, Ant Speed, or nest expansion before forcing more offers.
- Common to Rare: fill early worker space.
- Epic to Mythic: compare against permanent colony upgrades.
- Exotic and above: plan around late-game income and retention.
How to avoid bad rarity decisions
Before you chase the next rarity, check the roll price, whether you can buy the result, and whether you have a place to use it. A stronger ant only helps if it enters the colony loop.
