Egg Luck and Egg Rolls should not be treated as the same purchase. Luck changes the quality of what you might see, while roll access changes how often or how freely you can attempt a result.
Before buying either one, read the board text. Egg Luck, Egg Rolls, Food value, Colony expansion, and Ant Speed solve different problems, so buy the one that fixes your current bottleneck.
When Egg Luck is the better check
Look at Egg Luck when you already have roll access, enough Cash to act on a result, and space to place a better ant. If a rare result would just sit unused, luck is not your closest bottleneck.

When Egg Rolls is the better check
